These hours go by fast, and in this case, it looked like it had to. Just before we started, Google splashed up a message saying the Meet meeting could only be one hour. Somehow, within that hour, we covered several topics; and each of those topics could’ve filled another hour. The capricious nature of the infrastructure led us to comment on the global blue-screen-of-death message, the History of Computing in Learning and Education, the fragility of the internet, rural resiliency, and why some people like urban anonymity, which ironically is amidst a larger social network. We also alluded to the current state of the dis-United States which may simply be one episode in the maturation of an adolescent culture. It’s a phase we’re going through, like zits.
Along the way, our conversation touched on each of our networks. (Links below.) We tell stories about ourselves and our lives, but listen to the name drops and hear how often our insights have been heavily influenced by other creative thinkers.
Networking works because someone listened to someone else. Ironically, you are therefore welcomed to listen to us, Steve and me. We look forward to hearing from you.
