Take two. Whew. We are human and, therefore, imperfect. If there is ever a behind-the-scenes documentary, it will miss many episodes that never were published for various reasons. Why does that matter? Because this episode quickly shifted over to comparing perfect technology to imperfect people, and pointing out that those imperfections have value, as does the perfection of AI.
Corporate announcements and brochures proclaim the benefits of new technology. They might be right. They might also be sales pitches emphasizing profit regardless of utility. But, would you complain about AI if it found you a job?
The simpler life has its benefits, particularly in enabling in-person personal relationships. Sure, AI bots can ask how you are, but who is doing the caring?
We brought up Mike Rowe’s Ted Talk about Dirty Jobs; and in a personal plug, MyTinyExperiment.com, basically, what is tiny house living like for a guy who is over 65, taller than six feet, and weighing over 200 pounds.
When in doubt, a Clarity Break or a Digital Detox can be a reminder of the basics of quiet and simplicity, which may have more value than any technology.
