Turmoil in town? Yep, that’s real. Little kids running around and shouting for the fun of it? Yep, that’s real. The world isn’t all one thing. Not everyone lives someplace urban. There are limits to how many people can live in the country. Maps and GPS are not always the best guides, but technology and infrastructure is how we survive.
We also survive in nature, though not without considerations. It isn’t just about urban versus rural. It isn’t just about having events deliver entertainment versus being active participants. People can find what they want and need, though sometimes they don’t know to look outside their normal existence.
Turmoil in nature? Sure, especially if you’re a deer or some other prey. But sometimes needs like hunger mean approaching perceived threats, like us, mean hoping for the best. It usually works, but not always.
Some people need rugged SUVs and trucks. Some emergencies require helicopters. Most stay in town where such equipment isn’t necessary. People find solutions, and they all don’t find the same one. Which ones are we going to need as our world changes? Stay tuned.
