About a year ago, Steve and I agreed to produce a podcast. Steve’s business background, my engineering background, and our shared fascination with innovative solutions meant we enjoyed talking about the weird world we’re in. We also share a fun appreciation of low-tech, old-school, ingenious solutions over high-tech, fresh-out-of-the-lab gadgets. Thanks for coming along and listening in.
Intriguing Creativity
The only constant is change. The world is changing. We need to change. But what, how, and why are Big Details. We’re witnessing intriguing creativity. Let’s talk about that.
As we get ready to launch into 2025, a year that already looks ready for innovation, here’s an opportunity to look back at the five or six most popular podcasts of the year.
- The Beginning – Episode 1
- Living in the Wilderness – Episode 2
- Healing Pandemics SciFi AI – Episode 6
- Walking Talking Wawa – Episode 8
- Technology Africa And Earth Justice – Episode 3
- Loneliness Films Farms Books – Episode 9
In a mirror to low-tech, it is probably apparent to anyone who has listened to all of the episodes that our process has changed. The early ones were recorded using new equipment, new apps, packaged solutions that came with impressive brochures and promises. By the end of the year, our process is to have a Google Meet (Google’s version of Zoom, which predates Zoom) so we can see each other and throw hand signals back and forth, ignore warning messages about running out of time, and simply put a microphone and a handheld recorder at the screen. No apps, packages, or brochures required.
Ironically, we did manage to migrate a mirror of the episodes over onto Spotify. I guess we can learn something, eventually.
Again, thanks for being there then, here now, and we look forward to hearing that you’re listening. Got ideas or comments? Contact us. Happy New Year.
